- Harold B. Myers Sr.
COSBY, Mo. – Harold Bland Myers Sr., 76, Cosby, formerly of St. Joseph, died Friday, June 26, 1992, at his home.
Born in Calloway County, Mo., Mr. Myers resided in Portland, Mo., until moving to St. Joseph in 1963. He had lived in Cosby since 1967.
He had worked as a psychiatric aide at the Fulton, Mo., State Hospital for 18 years and the St.
Joseph State Hospital for 15 years.
Mr. Myers was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Cosby; and Occident Masonic Lodge No. 99, A.F. & A.M., Ilwaco, Wash.
Mr. Myers was preceded in death by a daughter, Fern Appleby; three sisters, Ada Myers, Eva Dye and Bertha Hickman; and two brothers, Charlie Myers and Grove Myers.
Surviving: his wife, Nadine B. Myers of the home; three sons, Hal Myers Jr. of Cosby, Mo., James R. of Easton, Mo., and Vernon W. Wibberg of Loose Creek, Mo.; two daughters, Phyllis A. Payne of Cosby, Mo., and Elaine Bledsoe of Mound City, Mo.; a sister, Flossie Holtkamp of Fulton, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren.
Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday, Bethel Baptist Church. Burial: Bethel Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where friends may call after 9 a.m. today. The body will arrive at the church one hour prior to the service.
