Sherry K. Davis
1949-2015
Sherry Kay Davis, age 65, died peacefully April 18, 2015, at Mosaic Life Care.
Sherry was born three months earlier than expected on May 30, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, to Warren and Jeanne Binder. She attended Wichita Southeast High School in Wichita, Kan. and graduated from Aurora Central High School in Aurora, Colo. in 1967. On August 28, 1973, Sherry married Andy Davis.
She held a variety jobs working as a Nurse's Aide, Day Care provider and Telemarketer. However, most notably she was a homemaker and mother.
Sherry was a member of the Brookdale Presbyterian Church and Sweet Adelines RiverSong Chorus.
She will be especially remembered for the volunteer work with Jerry Lewis VIDA Telethon, bowling in the mixed doubles league and dancing with her husband.
Survivors include her husband Andy Davis, St. Joseph; son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Tina Davis, Raymore, Mo.; grandchildren, Chase and Kennedy Davis; sister, Sheila Murray, St. Joseph.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Jeanne.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Brookdale Presbyterian Church, 203 S. 31st Street.
Relatives and friends are welcome for visitation beginning at noon Tuesday, April 21, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, 3609 Frederick Blvd.
Memorial contributions are welcome at Abbey Woods or Brookdale Presbyterian Church.
