LuAnn Ferguson
Mrs. LuAnn Ferguson, was born July 5, 1958, in Greeley, Colo., and died Friday, Oct. 21, 1994, at her residence in Savannah. She had resided most of her life in the Savannah area, and was a graduate of Savannah High School, class of 1976. She received her registered nursing degree in 1980 from Avila College, Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Ferguson had been employed for the past 14 years as a school nurse with the Savannah R- 3 District. She was a member and active with the choir of the First Christian Church, Savannah, and a member of the Savannah Chapter of Xi Kappa Rho Sorority. She was also a member of the Missouri School Nurses Assn. She was married July 25, 1980, in Savannah, to Steven Ray Ferguson, who survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Abbie Lynn Ferguson, and a son, B.J. Ferguson, both of the home; her mother and stepfather, Mary Lou (Hornecker) Cox and Norman Cox, Savannah; her father, Roger L. Carson, Savannah; a brother, Jon Carson, and a sister, Debbie Brooke, both of Savannah; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Oct. 23, in the First Christian Church, Savannah, with interment in the Fillmore Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Memorials may be made to the LuAnn Ferguson Scholarship Fund established at the Savannah R-3 High School.
