Another Unidentified Body Buried
Tuesday morning Coroner Jefferies was called to Nodaway by the workmen there who had found the mutilated body of a man along the railroad track. A paper was found in his pocket with the name, George Roelf, Chase, Rice county, Kansas, written on it. He was dark complexioned and was about twenty-five or thirty years of age.
No one has responded to a letter written by Coroner Jefferies to those who should know at Chase, Kan. One shoe had the heel built up to twice the size of the other indicating that one leg was shorter than the other.
There have been so many members of that organization called the Industrial Workers of the World, about a hundred and fifty were said to have gone through as 'bums' in one day, and it is supposed that he was one and had lost his life while either riding or attempting to ride. The body was buried near Nodaway.
