Mrs. Charles Monsees passed away Sunday afternoon

Mrs. Charles Monsees, aged about 45 years, is dead at her home in the Smithton neighborhood, as a result of cutting her throat with a razor with suicidal intent Saturday.

Mrs. Monsees (Amelia) is reported to have severed her windpipe and several of the veins in the throat, following an illness which caused her to receive treatment in a Kansas City sanitarium. She recently returned home and the cause for her action is attributed to her affliction. Her death occurred Sunday at 3:40 o'clock.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, two sons and two daughters. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Methodist church in Smithton, the Reverand W. B. Westemeyer to officiate, and the interment will be at that place.
