Mrs. Edna Styles, wife of George Styles, a former Sedalian, died at a hospital in St. Louis Wednesday morning, following a six weeks illness and an operation for appendicitis.

Mrs. Styles was born December 23, 1897, at Smithton and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Workman, of 318 South Engineer Avenue. She received her schooling in Pettis County and was married in 1915 to George Styles. They had resided in St. Louis since. She was a member of the First Baptist church of this city.

Mrs. Styles is survived by her husband, George Styles, two children, Marie, and Claude, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Workman, of this city, one brother, Albert Workman, of 318 South Engineer Avenue, and 5 sisters, Mrs. Opal Thomas, Kansas City, Mrs. Shela Borhn, of Quay, Okla., Mrs. Anna Van Etta of Warsaw, Mrs. Lena Kline, of Kansas City and Mrs. Bertha Yoeman, of Strongheart, Illinois.

The body will arrive in Sedalia at 7 o'clock this evening. Funeral arrangements will then be completed.
