In the name of God amen. July 25th 1860. Whereas I John B Porter of the County of Pettis, State of Missouri, being now on a bed of sickness and Knowing the uncertainty of Life and the certainty of Death & being in Sound mind do now proceed to make this my last will & desire that all of my Lawful debts be paid. 2nd I will & desire to Give unto my beloved wife Frances Porter all of my property both real & personal after my debts and part for the support of herself & her children to have & to hold the same as long as she shall remain my widow. In the event she marries again, I wish my property to be delt with according to law.

In vacation of the County Court. Be it remembered that on the 22nd day of September 1860 personally appeared before the undersigned Sam A Lowe, Clerk of the County Court of the County and State aforesaid, Plesant B Bays one of the subscribing witness to the annexed will of John B Porter and being by me first duly sworn, dispose and say that the said John B. Porter the testator subscribed the same in his presence and published his said will of sound mind and more than twenty one years of age and that the said deponents attested the said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same and in the presence of said testator.
