Mount Pleasant Cemetery

West on Highway 50 to Main Street, West 1.75 miles on Main Street Road; Cemetery on left about 1 block from road.
I visited this cemetery on 21 April 2010 and found one gravestone leaning against a tree. The cemetery is located in the woods between two houses in a new subdivision. I was able to get in to take a picture of the stone [see my Facebook page], which had the name Hinton G. Parker on it. It was a military marker. His death certificate and the obituary of Anna Whitney both state that this is Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sedalia. Updated information below is from the obituary of Anna Whitney, the Social Security Death Index, and online Missouri Death Certificates. The cemetery is grown up and no other tombstones were visible due to amount of ground vegetation. (Justin Watkins 2010)
