Wood, infant infant
son of Warner F. & Eleanor Wood
was still born Nov. 20, 1877
His life was like the summer flower
That sheds sweet fragrance every hour
Alas, the fairest flower must die
And in the silent dust must lie
But God in his infinite mercy and love
Hath taken him home to heaven above.
"As the flower of the grass he shall pass away,"
Yet, he shall receive the crown of life
which the Lord has promised.
Into our home one blessed day
The sweet babe had found its way
But ere we could claim it as our own
The God who gave it called it home.
