DeKalb County, Missouri

On the old Charlie Pierce farm Section 32, Township 60, Range 31.

We have not been able to find this cemetery.

From the DeKalb County Historical Society’s Cemetery Census 1845-1971:

“Roy Stockdale said Bryan Botts rebuilt the fence many years ago and intended to put up markers when he returned, but death prevented that.

“His sister, Phoebe Stockdale told her son, Roy Stockdale, that there was an infant and a twenty-one year-old man who James Botts’ sister took to raise, and an older Botts person buried here.”

Bethel Cemetery

Dallas Township
Township 59, Range 30, Section 9
Weatherby, DeKalb County, Missouri

West of Weatherby on Hwy 7, north on D Highway. Located adjacent to the west side of D Highway. South of Bethel Church at NE Gospel Rd.

This cemetery was established by deed from Earl Richards to George L. Bray and Russell N. Salmon, Trustees, dated 25 April 1961, filed 6 August 1962, book 146, page 283.

It is often confused with the Bethel Cemetery in the town of De Kalb in Buchanan County, which is much older.
