      CLARKSDALE, Mo. -- Arthur M. Kneib, 87, Clarksdale, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at a St. Joseph hospital.

      Mr. Kneib, a self-employed farmer, was born in Clarksdale on April 24, 1910. He was a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church Hurlingen, Mo.; and Catholic Order of Foresters.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bertha M. McFadden; his parents, Albert A. and Josephine A.; a sister, Lucille Moon; and a brother, Raymond.

      Surviving: a brother, Marvin J., St. Joseph; and a sister, Loretta Thompson, St. Joseph.

      Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Saturday, Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Hurlingen. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hurlingen. Visitation: after noon today at HeatonBowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
