  County of Cooper, ss: The State of Missouri To all persons to whome these presents shall come –  Greetings Know ye that whereas Thomas B. Smiley late of the County of Cooper, died intestate as it is said having at the time of his death property in this state which may be lost destroyed or diminished in value, if speedy care be not taken of the same to the end therefore, that said property may be collected preserved and disposed of according to law, we hereby appoint Harry Bunce Public Administrator of Cooper County, by virtue of his said office Administrator of all and singular, the goods and chattles rights and credits which were of said Thomas B. Smiley at the time of his death with full power and authority to secure and dispose of said property according to law and collect all monies due said deceased and in general to do and perform all other acts and things which are or hereafter may be required of him by law.  In testimony whereof, I Chas. N. Smith Judge of the Probate Court, in and for said County of Cooper have hereunto signed my name and affixed the seal of said Court & office this 13th day of April 1863, C. N. Smith Judge
