      I Lorenzo D. Pulley of the County of Cooper and State of Missouri being of sound mind memory and undertaking, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore mskr, ordain, publish and declare this to be my Last will and Testament.  That is to say: 

      Item First

      After all my just and lawful debts are paid and discharged, the remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed, I give, bequeath and devise as follows towit to my beloved wife Damaris Pulley, all the residue of any said Estate, real, personal and mixed, after the payment of said debts, except as hereinafter mentioned. 

      Item Second

      I give and bequeath to my children, Carlos Pulley, Mary Pulley, wife of Devarix Pulley, Amanda Smiley, wife of DeKalb Smiley, David M. Pulley, John W. Pulley, Isabell Hazel, wife of Ignatius Hazel, G. W. Pulley, Thomas B. Pulley and Frances Ellen Gibson, wife of W. P. Gibson, and to my grand children issue of my son Edward Pulley, deceased, Sarah Pulley, Leslie Pulley and Edward Walter Pulley; each the sun of one cent in lawful money of the United States. 

      Item Third

      I hereby make constitute and appoint my said wife Damaris Pulley, to be sole executrix, without bond, of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and annulling all former wills and codicils by [_____]. 

      In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this nineteenth day of May A. D. 1885.
