FORMER AREA RESIDENT DIES IN ARIZONA
Clarence Spangler, 81, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of the Skidmore area, died Tuesday in Phoenix, where he had made his home for the past five years.
Mr. Spangler, who lived in the Skidmore area for many years, went to Arizona when he retired from farming in 1957. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He was born in the state of Virginia.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Susie R. Spangler, of the home; three sons, Dean O. Spangler and Willis F. Spangler, Phoenix, and Wilbur F. Spangler, Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Williams, Phoenix, and Mrs. Virginia Lee Hagey, Ore.; two brothers, Robert Spangler, Blanchard, la., and Tobias Spangler, Burlington Jct.; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie E. Bradley, Mrs. Delia Wyley, Elmo, and Mrs. Lula Martin, Blanchard, la.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Messinger Funeral Home, Scottsdale, Ariz. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale.
