    • Carol Lee Kester

      Carol Lee Kester daughter of the late Edward Leroy Barnes and Joyce Marie (Huffstutler) Barnes was born on February 10, 1949 in Paris, Mississippi and departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She had attained the age of seventy-four years, seven months and twenty-five days.

      Carol had resided in Ellsinore, Missouri since 1964 and was formerly of Qulin, Missouri. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music, and singing, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol was kind, giving, thoughtful, and caring.

      On February 13, 1964, she was united in marriage to Tony William Kester. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1994.

      Survivors include her daughter, Carla Marie Weible (Wayne) of Fremont, MO; brothers, Charley Barnes (Bonnie) and Eddie Niva; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

      In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol was preceded in death by two sons, Terry William Kester and Tony Eli Kester; daughter, Caren Rose Weible; brothers, James Barnes, Christopher White and Jackson White, Jr.

      A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Whites Mill Cemetery in Ellsinore, Missouri. Rev. James Huffman will be officiating.
