Mrs. Arthur Sowell
Frances Elizabeth Gerber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Gerber, was born near Kinar City. Mo., April 24, 1914, and passed away at the home of her parents June 14, l934, at the age of 20 years, 2 months and 20 days.
At the age of 17 she united with the Assembly of God church in St. Joseph, remaining faithful till death.
On Jan. 24, 1930, she was united in marriage to Arthur Sowell of St. Joseph. To this union one child was born.
Mrs. Sowell had been in ill health for some time having been in the hospital for several months. After all efforts to save her life failed, she was brought to the home of her parents to spend her last days. She had a loving and kind disposition, greeting everyone with a smile. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Arthur Sowell, and one daughter, Carolene Frances, age 21 months; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Gerber of Oregon, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace King, Halls, Mo., and Goldie at home; five brothers, Clyde of St. Joseph, Mo.; George of Forbes, Mo.; Charley of Nodaway, Mo.; Guy and Milton at home. She also leaves many other relatives and friends.
