William Dennis Pulley
William Dennis Pulley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brisco Permenus Pulley, was born October 4, 1880, in Harrison county, Mo., and passed away March 9, 1938 at the home of his nephew, Harvey Pulley, of Plad. The cause of his death was heart trouble.
He was united in marriage to Julia Henderson. To this union were born one daughter, Bertha. Both wife and daughter preceded him in death. Some years later he was married to Mrs. Claudie Burten who also preceded him in death. To them was born one son, Lewis Pulley. There remain to mourn his departure one son, one brother, John A. Pulley, of Elridge, Mo., three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Botts of Joplin, Mrs. Amanda Higgins of Newton, Kan., and Mrs. Dora Kennedy of Chicago, Ill., and a host of relatives and friends.
Bill, as he was known by his many friends and neighbors, was converted at the Plad Baptist church and joined there in his younger days. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at Plad at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, by E. A. Young, assisted by Rev. Arthur Bailey. Burial followed there under direction of L. B. Jones.
