George Calvert Buried at Amazonia.

After the funeral at the residence Monday the remains of George Calvert were taken to Amazonia for interment. He was fifty-three years old and had been sick only a week with bowel trouble dying at his home in Nodaway Sunday morning.

Maggie J. Carmichael was born at Bridgeport, Penna., Sept. 12, 1853, and died Dec. 23, 1909, aged 56 years, 2 months and 11 days. She moved with her parents to Andrew county, Missouri, when a child, where she resided until her marriage to Alexander McArthur, in June, 1873. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom preceded her to the grave. She leaves a husband, two daughters, two brothers and other relatives to mourn her loss.

John B. Cole, fifty-two years of age, one of the employes [sic] of the St. Joseph Stone Co., whose quarry is near Savannah, died at a local hospital early Sunday morning, as the result of the explosion of a dynamite blast Saturday. The remains were taken to Amazonia Monday where services were held and the remains buried Monday afternoon.

Corning. Died, Friday evening, Feb'y 14 [sic], 1896, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Goiens. The remains were interred at Amazonia, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Goiens have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.

Died. Of brain fever, on Sunday, July 13, Georgie, infant and only son of Micaiah and Emalinda Scudder, of Amazonia, Andrew county, Missouri, aged ten months and twenty-four days.

A sun-beam has left our home circle. Heaven received an angel.

Mrs. Clarissa Murray and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Murray and Stanley, attended the funeral of their sister and aunt, Mrs. Eunice Kennicutt, at Amazonia, Monday afternoon. Mrs. Kennicutt died Saturday evening, Jan. 3, and is survived by her husband and four children.

Mrs. John Stephenson, of near Chillicothe, this state, came up on a visit to see her aged father, Grandpa Taylor, nearing 90 years. While here their adopted infant son died and was buried at Amazonia. Mrs. Stephenson has the sympathy of many friends in her sorrow.

Died at his home in Holt county March 22, George Taylor, he had reached the ripe age of 88 years, 11 months, and 20 days. Uncle George, as he was called, was one of Missouri's pioneers having come here when but a boy. He was known as a consistant [sic] christian [sic] and Bible student and had for many years held membership in the Christian church. He was the father of twelve children, eight of whom with his companion have preceeded [sic] him, the remaining four were present at his funeral which was held in the Amazonia Christian church, March 23. The services were conducted by Elder J. H. Kent, when the body was laid to rest in Amazonia cemetery. J. H. K.-- Savannah Democrat.
