I am trying to locate my great grandfather FLORIAN KAPELLER. I know he was born in New Frankfort, Saline County on Sep 19, 1869. He was in Slater, MO by 1904. His wife was named Alice Buttler and his parents were Florian Kapeller and Walburger Ott. (Walburger was her mother's maiden name.) The original spelling of Kapeller was KAPPELLER. Florian (son) had 3 boys that I know of Edward, William and Bernard. An 1870 census lists a Florina Kapeller. I'm hoping the name was spelled wrong. I do not have any info other than these sketchy details. Anybody with ANY info would be greatly appreciated.

Deceased by 25 June 1900 as his wife, Walburgur is listed as a widow and enumerated in the house of her son John B. Kapeller in Cambridge, Saline County, Missouri

I am related to several branches of the OTT family, including the branch in Saline County, Missouri where Ronald Allen "Buzz" Ott (still living to the best of my knowledge) married Kathryn Lynn Gauldin (still living to the best of my knowledge). They have at least two children.

Still living in 1900, found on Census, enumerated with her son John B. Kapeller in Cambridge, Saline County, Missouri...husband deceased as she is listed as a widow--states 5 children born, 5 living? (Perhaps felt shame r/t loss of other children in Milwaukee??)

I have had some bad experiences with a few other researchers (taking the information I have worked so had to find and publishing it as their own--a without "credit" or a footnote). I still believe that family history should be a free sharing of information.  I have been doing this with another person working on similar lines in Stearns County, Minnesota --also another area where people migrated from SE Wisconsin to around the 1855 time frame. We have been exchanging information for the past 3 years--and have developed a wonderful friendship/co-working our lines together. For me, I'd like to ask that you please append the following information if you print out or pass on this history, so I can continue making contacts with other possible family members:

Researcher/Historian, Susan Nokes, 27532 State Hwy 3 NE,  Poulsbo, WA 98370, Tele: 360-697-6798, e-mail:snokes@tscnet.com

I would like to know if you would like to receive credit for your research? Would you like me to, pass on your name, address, or e-mail address to any other persons researching similar names? Please feel free to send fellow researchers my e-mail address or any of the other contact information for me including my snail mail address and telephone number.
