Jesse Overton Toler purchased 3 parcels of land totalling 160 acres in Morgan Co., MO from the US Land office in Fayette Co., MO on 1 Apr 1843. He is believed to have married Sarah Ann Bowles and settled near Florence, MO. About this time a Bowles family also settled in Morgan Co., Mo headed by a Elizabeth Bowles whom I believe was the widow of Peter T. Bowles and possibly the mother of Sarah Ann. I say believed because there is much in the way of circumstantial evidence to support this theory but no hard facts - at present.
Jesse is supposed to be buried at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery (d 1879). His wife d 21 Feb 1918 but it is unknown whether she is buried with Jesse.
I am interested in exchanging information on this family with anyone that can help me establish their relationship with Peter T. Bowles. Could anyone give me an address for the Antioch Baptist Church to see if they have any burial records?
Any help or suggestions on how to proceed on this search would be most appreciated.

Cord and Gretje Mueller sold their farm and left Morgan Co 1864. Daughter Catherine m. John Schluesing and returned to Florence area 1868. Son Peter Mueller returned 1872, m. Sophia Rodekohr. Daughter Margaret m. Gottlieb Spiegel in Morgan Co 1878. Fate of siblings Diedrich, Anna, John Henry, William Henry unknown, but may have returned also. Gretje died and Cord remarried in St Louis 1876, but by 1880 was a "widower" boarding in Smithton, age 65. Last trace of Cord is purchase of a Smithton Cemetery lot 1888, which was never used. Margaret Spiegel's memoirs relate that Cord "had a farm on the river, divided it among his sons before he died", so he may have bought new land in Florence area. If anyone can add to above clues, please get in touch.

I am doing genealogy on my family who are from Versailles and Glenstead. They are all buried in Versailles, Freedom, Big Rock, Hopewell and Mt. Carmel. Some of my surnames are: Sparks,Morris, Hughes,Harmon on my Father's side (Elmer Lee Morris) and Paul, Vanpool, Merritt,  on my Mother's side (Leta Rachel Paul Morris). I have a photo taken in Versailles in the 1800's. I am searching for all the missing Sparks family. There are two stones missing from Freedom that I would like to find.  They were missing the last time I was home.  I left a note, but no one responded. They were Sparks stones. They sat at the very back of the cemetery next to Mary Harmon's stone.  Does anyone know if there is a list of the graves in Freedom? I would love to have it. If anyonecan help in any way, please let me know.

I am searching for the three children of George W. Hedrick and Ann ? of Morgan County.  George was first married to Cora I. Page in 1905.  I do not know what became of that marriage, but he later married a woman named Ann. They had three children together before divorcing in 1926.  George moved to Jersey County, Illinois and Ann stayed in Morgan County on a farm somewhere near Gravois Mills I think.  I do not know what their three children's names were or where they went.  George was born around 1873.  Ann Hedrick, keeping her married name, was implicated in cattle rustling along with her son from a previous relationship, Lee T. Petty and Charley Capps in 1939.  Ann's charges as well as Mr. Capps were dropped, but her son went to prison for three years for stealing 14 head of cattle from Ray Heppard, Lawson Silvey, Tom Merriott, and A.M. Fletcher.  Can anyone out there tell me info on George W. Hedrick, his wife Ann, their three children, or Lee T. Petty? Thank you. I am willing to pay money for info on these people!

I have some information, not sure just how much it is, but am wanting to know if anyone has any information on the Ivy's or Ivie's in Morgan County. From a letter I have read, there were three brothers who stopped in Versailles; one continued West, to California, one to Texas and one remained to settle on the Osage River, Ivy Bend. Later, it says our people bought the Shawnee Bend above Warsaw from the Shawnee Indians.
If this would be of interest or if you have any other information I would appreciate knowing where to look. Thank you.
