Died--Tommy Brooks, at his home in Clarksdale on Sunday, after two years of consumption. He was born March 4, 1853 in Buchannan County and married December 22, 1880 to Miss C. B. Morton in DeKalb county, and died May 8th, 1887. He died in full faith of going to a Better world where there is no more sickness nor sorrow. He leaves a wife and two loving little children to mourn after a loving husband and a loving father. His body was laid away at the Brick Church in Buchanan, his funeral was preached by Brother Pollard, from St. Joseph, and Brother Perry From Stewartsville. A host of friends followed him to the grave.
