      Emil Dick, 99, of St. Joseph, died Nov. 14 at a St. Joseph hospital.

      Mr. Dick was born in Amazonia, but spent most of his life in the Holt County area. He had resided in St. Joseph for the past 12 years.

      He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist faith.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Failor Dick, in 1938.

      Surviving are two daughters, Dora L. Moran, St. Joseph, and Ruby Graves, Savannah; one son, Dorsey Dick, Omaha, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Emma Marie Hull, St. Joseph, and Edna Martin, Tuscumbia, Mo.; one stepson, Charles Proffitt, Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Clara Kronegg and Mary Keeney, both of St. Joseph, and Flora Coates, Amazonia; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Services were Nov. 16 at the Heaton-Bowlan-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph. Burial was at Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore.
