Carmichael was born at Bridgeport, Penna., Sept. 12, 1853, and died Dec. 23, 1909, aged 56 years, 2 months and 11 days. She moved with her parents to Andrew county, Missouri, when a child, where she resided until her marriage to Alexander McArthur, in June, 1873. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom preceded her to the grave.
