Kelly, a young farmer of Andrew county, a single man in his 28th year, resided with his mother and sisters on a large and productive farm about 10 miles southeast of St. Joe and within half a mile of Bird&#8217;s mill. On Thursday afternoon he went out to hunt squirrels with a revolver. About dusk his mother and sister, returning to the house from outdoor work, found the young man lying on the floor and lifeless, with blood oozing from a bullet-hole directly over the heart.
