DIES AT CHEROKEE, OKLA.
Thomas Thompson Was Born on Farm Near St. Joseph
Thomas Thompson, eighty-four years old, who was born on a farm near St. Joseph and reared near Troy, Kan., died early this morning at Cherokee, Okla., according to word received by St. Joseph relatives. Mr. Thompson’s family removed from Missouri to Kansas City when he was a small boy. The farm home there was four miles south of Troy.
Later in life Mr. Thompson went to Cherokee where he was interested in growing wheat. He never married. Surviving him are two sisters, Miss Addie Thompson and Miss Hanah Thompson, St. Joseph; Miss Irene Nelson of St. Joseph is a niece, and Newton, Thomas, Orion and Henry Nelson, also of St. Joseph, are nephews. The body will be brought to St. Joseph for burial in the Nelson Cemetery southeast of the city.
