Poolman services
Service for William F. Poolman, 63, will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman chapel. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Poolman died Wednesday morning at a Mountain View, Mo., hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Poolman resided in St. Joseph for many years before moving to Willow Springs, Mo., 10 years ago. He was a native of Jackson Hole, Wyo., and was employed here by the Swift & Co., as a butcher, retiring in 1967 after 26 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Corp. Fred Seifert VFW Post 1668 and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Nina L. Poolman; a daughter, Eileen Donelson, New Rochelle, NY; two sons, William Fr. Poolman Jr., St. Joseph, and Dan J. Poolman, Kansas City; two sisters, Elizabeth Lizer, Hastings, Neb., and Dorothy Gentry, Kansas City; two brothers, Robert Poolman, Ocala, Fla., and Richard Poolman, Merlesborough, Ohio, and four grandchildren.
