Frederick R. Holzhauser, Elwood, died Saturday morning at a Leavenworth hospital. He was born in Wathena and was a member of the Elwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fay Holzhauser, St. Jo; two sons, Dwayne Holzhauser and Carl Holzhauser, both of St. Jo; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Powell, Amity; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Schubert and Mrs. Reid Russell, St. Jo, and Miss Stella Holzhauser, Elwood; one brother, A.N. Holzhauser, St. Jo, and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dan Russell, Ray Russell, Vernon Wilson, Lawrence Powell, Marvin Powell and Glen Ewan.
Services were Monday at 1:30 at the Harman Mortuary with the Rev. Kerry Gage officiating. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery.

Fred Holzhauser Rites Monday
Troy (GNS) – - Frederick R. Holzhauser, 61, Elwood died yesterday at Cushing Memorial hospital at Leavenworth.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.. at the Harman Mortuary at Wathena with the Rev. Kerry Gage officiating. Burial will be in the Bellemont cemetery at Wathena.
Mr. Holzhauser was a member of the Elwood Baptist Church.
