Mrs. Mildred M. Curley, 1017 Elsworth street, died April 17 at a St. Joseph convalescent center where she had been a patient for 16 months.
Mrs. Curley, 68, was a native of Elwood and had lived in St. Joseph for the last 40 years. She was the widow of Charles Curley who died in 1962.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Helen M. Hudson of the home; Mrs. Hazel B. Johnson, Mrs. Niva V. Hockaday and Mrs. Betty D. Courtney, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Frieda Holaday, Elwood; four sons, Leo Curley, Libertyville, Ill., Charles Curley, Fontana, Calif., John Curley, Summerville, Mass., and Robert Curley living in the state of Virginia, and a brother, Hubert Canterbury, Independence, Mo.
Services were held Monday at the Stamey funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Grubbs officiating. Burial was in Ashland cemetery.
