I am looking for information on the parents and brothers and

I believe from limited records in the Totten family Bible that
his father was possibly Samuel Totten 1891-1862 or Edward Totten

Josephus never left DeKalb County after he came. Josephus and
Almira are buried in the Amity Cemetery.

been born in 1805 in TN.) His wife was Jane CREAND? of Kentucky.
Children listed are:

Andrerson Smith of DeKalb Co. who settled in 1832.
If you are using the two books by Roselie C.
Smith on this Smith family, for your lineage, use with care.
The early information of Yorkshire, England has been found to be
questionable. The Hopewell, NJ (1677 - 1735) lineage for the
progenitor of Anderson Smith, Sr. and Jr., which was given is
wrong. The Rowan Co. NC, lineage also has errors.
If interested in corrected documented information please contact
me.
