Charles A. Karl, 88, formerly of 1508 Safari, died today at a Savannah rest home. A native of Hemple, Mr. Karl had lived in St. Joseph since 1943. A former farmer and Quaker Oats employee, he retired 23 years ago after 15 years service in the rolled oats department. Mr. Karl was a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Pankau Karl in 1943 and by his second wife, Ethel I. Garlichs Karl in 1969 . . .
