John Isaac Cook, aged 72 years, a well known farmer of the Smithton neighborhood, died at his home, two miles south of that place, at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning. Death was due to complications that followed an illness of about four months.
Mr. Cook is survived by his widow and nine children, as follows: Rev. Frank D. Cook and Elijah B. Cook, Sedalia, Dewey L. Cook, Mrs. Lena Schlobohm, of the Smithton neighborhood, Angelina, Belle, Leah Delia, Arpha Camea and Dollie Bedelia, of the home address. One child died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church of Smithton at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. B. F. Dinwiddie, of Sedalia, to officiate.
The following friends will serve as pallbearers: J. L. Monsees, W. H. Reynolds, Frank Norlin, Hubert Long, W. H. Kahrs and M. H. Homan.
Burial will be in the Smithton cemetery.
